Overview

Northwell Health offers a comprehensive ACGME-certified, one-year fellowship program in Sports Medicine that accepts two fellows per year. Just minutes from New York City, the program offers many educational programs and experiences for its fellows.

Currently, our fellows rotate at Sports Medicine offices in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island. The continuity sports medicine office is located in Garden City, NY. There is also an opportunity to travel to Boca Raton, FL and rotate with physicians performing cutting-edge regenerative therapies such as fat grafts and use of stem cells.

Fellows have the opportunity to provide coverage for the NBA, NHL, NLL, NCAA Division I, II and III teams, USA Boxing, Muay Thai matches, the New York City Marathon, IRONMAN, and much more.

Our program has a strong focus on teaching musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. We have two ultrasound machines in the office as well as a portable ultrasound machine. We  provide continuing medical education activities including intensive cadaveric musculoskeletal ultrasound and injection courses.
