FDNY-EMS FELLOWSHIP
OVERVIEW
- Considered one of the premier EMS and Disaster Medicine Fellowships in the world
- Fellowship founded in 1992
- ACGME accredited program
- 1year Fellowship (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023)
- Fellows get a wide range of experiences to prepare them to be future leaders in the field of EMS
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS (by start of Fellowship)
- Completion of a Residency in Emergency Medicine (Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine)
- Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in New York State
- Possession of a valid DEA registration number
CLINICAL AFFILIATION
- The EMS Fellowship is affiliated with Northwell Health Department of Emergency Medicine
- Northwell Health Center for EMS is one of the largest hospital-based ambulance services in the U.S.
- Fellows work clinically in the Emergency Departments of Northwell Health Affiliated Hospitals and participate in Emergency Medicine Residency conferences, activities, and research
