Applicant Qualifications (by start of Fellowship)

  • Completion of a Residency in Emergency Medicine (Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine)
  • Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in New York State
  • Possession of a valid DEA registration number

Clinical Affiliation

  • The EMS Fellowship is affiliated with the Hofstra-Northwell Health Department of Emergency Medicine
  • Fellows work clinically in the Emergency Departments of the Northwell Health Affiliated Hospitals and participate in Emergency Medicine Residency conferences and activities

  • Three (3) letters of reference (one of which must be from the Residency Program Director)


Application Timeline (subject to alteration)

  • Application materials must be received by October 1
  • Interviews conducted in September and October
  • Selection of fellows mid-November
